SW1048 is similar to SW1047 but is secured to the boat with 3M VHB tape instead of screws allowing for a sleeker look and simpler installation process . This scupper assembly is TIG welded together by Seaworthy Innovations at our Westborough, MA facility.

It has a 1.625” thru hole which is larger than the common plastic frame version which has a 1.375” thru hole. This means ours will fit over the brass drain tubes of transoms which typically have a 1.5” flare.

SW1048 can also be paired with our 17 Degree Stainless Steel Wedge (SW1140). The wedge is used to offset the transoms angle so that the flapper of SW1048 is normally in the closed position. We highly recommend pairing SW1048 with SW1140 for maximum performance. SW1140 will also allow SW1048 to be used on plastic fittings where 3M VHB tape is not recommended.
